Stephen Ward is an Associate Licensed Counselor under the supervision of Robert Thomas, LMFT-S and LPC-S. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University (2026), as well as an MBA from Walden University (2017). I completed my internship at a local community mental health center, where I gained valuable experience supporting individuals through a wide range of life challenges.

I grew up in Woodville, a small town outside of Huntsville, and I have always had a passion for helping people. I enjoy working with clients of all ages, beginning at age 6 and older, and I strive to create a supportive, respectful, and compassionate environment where my clients can feel heard and understood. I offer services both in person and through telehealth, providing flexible options to meet my clients where they are most comfortable.

I work with individuals, families, and couples facing concerns such as grief, trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, abuse, divorce, and relationship challenges. My therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, helping clients identify strengths, build coping skills, and move toward meaningful change in either an in-person or telehealth setting.

As a member of the American Counseling Association and the Alabama Counseling Association, I am committed to ethical, client-centered care. Whether meeting in person or through telehealth, I provide a space where clients can speak openly about the valleys they are in while finding hope, support, and practical steps toward healing.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I enjoy going to Broadway Shows, hunting, fishing, or just relaxing at home with my family.
